I have been trying to get a decent picture of the Norhern Flicker Woodpecker for four years. I generally start watching for it around March 1. Much to my surprise the other day I had the camera and was taking pictures of birds in the neighbors tree and the Northern Flicker landed on a tree branch. I got so excited and started clicking away.
