Chocolate
Pie Evelyn tries to have a chocolate pie made whenever her son
John comes for a visit, it is his favorite. 1 cooked pie
shell
4 egg yolks
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons
butter
1/3 cup cornstarch
4 tablespoons
cocoa
3 cups milk
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon
vanilla
Combine sugar, cocoa, salt, cornstarch with milk.
Cook over medium heat stirring constantly, careful not to
let
burn or scorch. When mixture starts to thicken; add butter
and beaten egg yolks. Cook to desired thickeness. Pour into cooked pie shell.
Top with whipping cream, Cool Whip or favorite topping.
